The Round of Golf

A Distribution Partner is having a round of golf with a couple of prospects.  At the 7th hole talk turns to investments which continues through the 9th hole.  Walking down the 10th the Partner mentions a product that has been proving popular with his clients.  Discussions continue with various questions asked and answered all the way to the 14th green.  On the walk to the 15th the Partner sensing there is genuine interest puts forward the following proposition.

“If you are genuinely interested, I can set you up on my App which you can download and access all the information we’ve spoken about.  There’s also a video with the Product Specialist where he goes into a fair bit of detail of how it works.  This hole’s a par 3, let me know what you think when we we’re on the green and all holed-out and if you want, I’ll send you an invite to the App.”

After they’d holed out on the 15th they said yes I want to be invited to the App.

The Partner pulls out his phone and invites the two prospects to the App on the short walk to the 16th.

They instantly hear their phones ping and before teeing-off they’ve downloaded the App and entered their email address and receive an OTP which opens up their account which was automatically set up.

Safe in the knowledge that his shouting for a round of golf has already been very productive the Partner announces that there’s three holes to go and it’s getting serious.

Let’s get back to golf.

At the 19th the Partner says he’ll get the drinks in and takes his time to visit the Gents and then have a quick look around the club then returns to the bar to get the drinks.  By the time he gets back to the table both prospects are on their phone.

One watching the video while the other is reading other information about the product.

He sips his drink, as his likely soon to be clients absorb the information knowing that the multi-media aspect keeps punters consuming information a lot longer than the old days of straight text.

Business has never been so easy.

That reminded him, he had to confirm the tee times for tomorrows group.
